Welcome, I'm Nikki.

I'm an LPCC and licensed mental heatlh clinician in the states of MN and WA, offering telehealth + In-Person (Bellingham, WA) sessions, and

I'm here to help!

If you are ready to invest in yourself, but aren’t sure how to start, you’ve come to the right place. You’ve made the courageous decision to reach out for help, and I would be honored to guide you in discovering your strengths, finding new meaning and purpose, and discovering the joy of living life in line with your most authentic self. Together we’ll tackle the issues that are leaving you feeling stuck and lost. We’ll find a way to heal your relationship with yourself and those that matter most to you.

Is my approach right for you?

Finding a therapist who is a good fit is quite the endeavor; it is scary taking risks, being vulnerable, and trusting someone with your story, for possibly the 489487584th time, only to feel unsafe or poorly fit.

Some of the primary parts of me + my practice include:

  • collaboration with you on your needs, goals, and how you'd like to utilize the therapy space

  • honesty, authenticity, empathy, and open communication in our work together

  • helping clients to see for all of who they are, not just for their symptoms, their diagnosis, or their past

  • the regular use of Brainspotting (BSP) as a therapeutic technique, in addition to Polyvagal theory (i.e. we will do some 'talk therapy', but we will also increase your attunement to your body and your nervous system and increase your awareness of the mind-body connection)

  • The use of creativity, humor, curiosity, and directness in our time and care together

  • I want you to know and feel acceptance, and that the therapy space is non-judgmental

  • It is important to me to meet you where you are at; sometimes that means a session is heavy and difficult feelings are present, sometimes sessions can feel light, connecting, and joyful and celebration is present - I'm excited to be with you anywhere on that continuum!

I'm human too!

Native to rural MN, I moved to the Twin Cities (Saint Paul, MN) as a young adult and enjoyed the diversity, culture and people.  As I continued to grow and nurture my family, my heart called for the ocean, the mountains, and the forest, so my family and I moved to Bellingham, WA in 2023. I have always been interested and curious in people, families, and cultural values and enjoy meeting people from different walks of life and backgrounds.  I'm a mother, therapist, cat-mom, nature enthusiast, and artist.  When I'm not working, I enjoy sipping a coffee outside, listening to a good audiobook, or going on hikes with my family.  I might be a therapist, but I'll be the first to acknolwedge in our relationship, that life is messy (mine too!) and being human and making mistakes is part of what can connect us together.
